Voters in the 3rd Ward

Tuesday, November 2nd is a very important election in the Borough of Chambersburg. 

​

You, the voters, will determine the outcome of five borough council seats and you will also be selecting a new mayor as well. Not only will you have a vote for these candidates, but your vote will be the voice on how you want these elected officials to govern, and spend your hard-earned tax dollars. Ask yourself, do you want to continue down the current path of this current council or do you want to return to the fiscally conservative policies that have made the Borough of Chambersburg a great place to live, work, and raise your children?

I want to inform you, that some of the information you have been receiving from my opponent’s campaign is not correct, and I want to set the record straight. I do not support sidewalks where there are currently none or are not noted on the Curb and Sidewalk Master Plan, that was approved by the council. Future development will include sidewalks, and, of course, they will be at the cost of the developer. Many of our streets are larger than the required dimensions of a borough street, and we have been able to live without them for many years, and without pedestrian accidents. These sidewalks, estimated in some cases to be between 10-20 thousand dollars, would create a financial hardship to you, the homeowner.  

 

I, Dom Brown, your Republican Candidate for 3rd Ward Borough Council, am running of these additional strong bullet points:

• I believe in full transparency. I will assure you that I will be a fiscal common-sense conservative who will understand how, why, and where your tax dollars are spent to benefit you.

• I stand with our police and fire department and will strive to provide them the tools to continue to make our neighborhoods and our children safe. We are blessed to have a great police and fire department.

• I will stand up for the children of this community, and provide them with better opportunities and choices.

• Chambersburg is a very diverse community and we will continue to promote and support our diversity.

• We will continue to support our low-cost utilities, and find ways to keep costs under control and improve them at the same time. Currently, we have the 2nd lowest utilities in the commonwealth.

I am asking you that on November 2nd, you go to your polling place, and vote Dom Brown for 3rd Ward Borough Council. In addition, I am endorsing Kenneth Hock for Mayor, and I am asking you for his vote as well.

Dom is the Director of Public Works in A Smart City of Excellence, Seat Pleasant, Maryland. This is where he will utilize his skills from being a DPW Director, using tax dollars in a positive smart, and efficient way. Being very transparent on where your tax dollars are being spent.
